Useful links

Here are some links to sites/people that I find useful or inspiring.

For writers/aspiring writers:

The Romantic Novelists’ Association. I enrolled in their New Writers Scheme and it’s a great way to learn and develop. I’m now a full member and really look forward to their events. I’ve also made a lot of friends through the organisation.

The Society of Authors. Basically the union for writers in the UK. They will check contracts for you and let you know what they think of the terms and conditions.

Kate Walker. I started going to her courses when I first started writing romance. She’s an amazing teacher and also a brilliant writer. If you want to learn how to write romance then I can definitely recommend her book called the 12-point Guide to Writing Romance.

Joanne Harris’s feed on X; especially her Ten Tweets series.

General links:

There are many useful mental health organisations based in the UK, such as the Samaritans, Heads Together and Mind.

I can also recommend Disability Snowsport UK, a charity that assists people in accessing snowsport, regardless of disability, injury, or experience.
