Fun in Fishguard

I’ve just finished a really fun weekend at the Writers and Artists Winter Workshop in Fishguard, at the lovely Fishguard Bay Hotel. The weekend gives you the chance to choose from one of five tutors, offering poetry, novel writing, painting, short story writing and of course the one I attended, Advanced Romance with the lovely and talented Kate Walker. Kate really challenged us to dig deep into a variety of topics in a series of exercises to try and enable us to hone our writing skills further. Not only was the course very useful, but there was also plenty of time to chat and get to know people on other workshops too. All in all a very enjoyable weekend that has left me with lots of inspiration on how to improve my writing.
